Update the Windows OS

Before you perform the troubleshooting methods given below, check whether your computer is up-to-date.

  • Sign in to your Windows 10 computer with admin rights.
  • Now, go to the Settings page.
  • Click on the Update & Security option.
  • Locate and click on the Windows Update option under the Update & Security section.
  • Click on the Check for updates button. Now, if there is a new update available for your Windows computer, then it will be initiated shortly.
  • Now, try to print from Office 365 Word on your Windows 10 computer.
  • If the printing issue persists, then try the troubleshooting methods one-by-one given below.

Method 1: Print other documents

  • From the existing document screen, press the Ctrl and N buttons at the same time.
  • Now, a new blank document will open.
  • In the opened window, type the **=rand(10)** command and tap Enter.
  • Now, try to print this document.
  • If the printing issue remains unresolved, then perform the next method.

Method 2: Print from WordPad

  • On your Windows 10 computer, open the WordPad application.
  • Type few texts in WordPad.
  • Save the file if necessary.
  • Now, initiate the print operation by pressing the Ctrl & P buttons at the same time or from the File menu followed by the Print option.
  • Make sure to select your printer correctly while configuring the print operation.

Method 3: Repair the Word application

  • Initially, make sure to close all the exiting Word applications on your computer.
  • Now, go to the Add & Remove Programs screen.
  • Locate and select the Microsoft Office Word program from the programs list.
  • Click on the Modify button followed the Online Repair option.
  • Repair the Word application by following the rest of the instructions displayed on the screen.
  • After repairing the word application, try to print the document.

If the printing issue in Office 365 Word persists, then perform the next method.

Method 4: Try to print in Safe Mode

  • Before performing this method, make sure to disconnect all the external devices from your Windows computer, except the keyboard and mouse.
  • Now, initiate the restart process on your computer.
  • When your Windows computer turns on, press the F8 button on your computer’s keyboard.
  • Select the Safe Mode option.
  • After logging in to the safe mode, sign in to your Windows computer and perform the print operation.
