Solution 1: Check the ink levels and replace the ink cartridge

  • Turn on the HP printer and load a stack of legal plain paper into the paper input tray.
  • Navigate to the printer’s control panel and tap the button next to the Setup icon (for touch screen control panels).
  • Tap the Right arrow button to select Tools and tap the OK button.
  • Next, select the Estimated Ink Levels option and tap the OK button.
  • Check for the ink cartridges running low ink and replace them.
  • To replace the black ink cartridge, open the ink access door and wait for the print head holder to move to the idle position.
  • Release the black ink cartridge tab and take the cartridge our from the printer.
  • Unpack the new HP printer black ink not printing and gently remove the plastic cover from the nozzle area.
  • Install the ink cartridge into the correct slot and ensure that it is correctly fixed.
  • Close the ink cartridge door and align the printer.
  • To do so, tap the Setup icon on the printer’s control panel.
  • Select the Align Printer option using the arrow keys on the touchscreen and tap OK.
  • Lift the scanner lid and place the printer alignment page facing down.
  • Close the scanner lid and complete the alignment with the help of the on-screen prompts.

Solution 2: Clean the print head
