The HP Envy 5070 Setup | Installing Printer Software & Driver

Setting up an HP printer is very easy if you follow the quick steps given on this page. The HP Envy 5070 printer can print, copy, and scan. 1. Unpacking

First, you have to unpack the printer and take out the printer supplies such as power cord, CD-ROM, user's guide, and ink cartridges from the product box.

Next, you have to remove all the protective tapes from the printer.

After ensuring that you have removed all the protective tapes from the printer, move on to the next step.

2. Connecting to an electrical outlet and setting preferences

Connect your printer to an electrical outlet using the supplied power cord and turn it on.
Navigate to the printer's control panel and choose your preferred language.

Select your country/region and tap Yes to confirm.
Set the correct date and time on the LCD screen and tap Yes.

3. Installing ink cartridges

Open the ink access door and wait until the carriage moves to the home position.
Unpack the ink cartridges and remove the protective films without touching the copper-colored parts.

Install the color ink cartridges on the left slot and black ink cartridge on the ink holder's right slot.
After installing the ink cartridges into the ink holder, close the ink access door.

4. Loading paper into the input tray

Open the input tray door and pull out the input tray.
Slide the paper width guides outward and fan the paper (do not exceed 250 sheets) before loading them into the tray.
Adjust the loaded paper with paper width guides and push the tray back into the printer.

Make sure to pull out the paper output tray and lift the tray extender.
Tap Done on the printer's control panel to print the alignment page while HP envy 5070 setup.

5. Aligning the ink cartridges

Using the alignment page, you can achieve the best print quality.
Place the alignment page on the scanner glass and tap OK to begin the ink cartridges alignment.

Once the printer has aligned the ink cartridges, tap OK.

6. Installing the printer software

You can quickly install the printer software using the supplied CD-ROM (if available) or the driver package downloaded from the official HP site.
Run the driver installation wizard using any one of the sources and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the driver installation.

After completing the driver installation, verify the printer functionality.
