Is your Epson printer not printing black? Then there might be a clogged nozzle. Also, if your printer is low on black ink, you might come across this issue.

To fix it, follow the quick troubleshooting steps mentioned below.

  • First, switch off your Epson printer and unplug the printer’s power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Also, disconnect the USB cables (if any).
  • After a few minutes, turn on the printer by connecting the power cord to the electrical outlet.
  • Connect the printer to your Windows computer and proceed to print a test page.
  • Open the Control Panel app on your computer.
  • Click the Printers and Scanners tab and give a right-click on the Epson printer’s icon underneath Devices.
  • Select the Properties option and click the General tab.
  • Choose your printer’s name and click the Print Test Page button in the Printing Preferences or Properties window.
  • Ensure that you have installed the compatible printer driver on your computer.
  • If necessary, reinstall the printer driver using the CD-ROM that came with your printer.
  • If you can print using the black ink, the problem has been resolved.
