Sometimes the Epson printer not printing after changing ink cartridges. This mostly occurs if the ink cartridges that you have changed are not recognized by the printer.

Steps To Resolve

  • Check the printer screen for any errors. Continue with the on-screen instructions to fix the error.
  • Now, restart the printer and check whether you could print.

Step 1: Remove & Reload Ink Cartridges

  • If you are unable to print, remove all the ink cartridges from their slots.
  • Check whether the packing tapes are removed. If there are any protective tapes on the cartridges, it might block the nozzles and you can’t print. So, remove the protective tapes.
  • Now, reinsert the ink cartridges.

Step 2: Update The Printer Drivers

  • If the printer driver is outdated, you may face printing issues.
  • Update the printer driver on your computer connected to the printer by visiting the official printer website.
  • Now, check whether the issue is resolved.

Step 3: Reset The Printer

  • If the issue persists and you can’t print, reset the printer.
  • You can reset the printer from the control panel options or perform a hard reset.
  • Make sure to use only genuine ink cartridges.

Step 4: Cleaning The Print Heads

  • If the print head nozzles are clogged, the ink cartridges may not be recognized and you may face printing issues.
  • If you have connected the Epson printer to a Windows computer, go to the Control Panel window.
  • Click the Hardware and Sound section and go to Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on the Epson printer and then select the Printing preferences option from the displayed list.
  • Select the Head Cleaning option and wait until the head cleaning process is complete.
  • Now, the Epson printer not printing after changing ink will be fixed.
