Unboxing:

  • Open the printer package.
  • Gently take out the packaging components present in it and keep them aside.
  • Remove the protective materials from the printer.
  • Connect your printer to an electrical outlet with the provided power cable.
  • Turn on the printer and raise the control panel. Press the Unlock button to lower the control panel and to avoid damage.
  • On your printer’s control panel, select your language and country.
  • Change the date and time settings as well.

Installing the ink cartridges:

  • Raise the scanner unit.
  • Unwrap the ink cartridges and remove the yellow tapes from the cartridges.
  • Insert the cartridges into their respective slots.

  • Lower the scanner unit.
  • Wait until the ink charges. It may take about 5 minutes.

Loading the paper:

  • Pull out the paper cassette and lift the photo tray by sliding it back.
  • Slide the paper guides towards the edges of the tray.
  • Insert the paper.
  • Lower the photo tray.
  • Insert the paper cassette back again into the printer.
  • Extend the output tray and flip up the stopper.

Connecting the printer to your device:

Network (wireless or wired)

  • For a wireless network, the Network name (SSID) is required. As the printer supports the WEP and WPA security modes, ensure that you know the WEP key or WPA passphrase.

USB connection

  • Ensure that the Artisan 810 is not connected to your computer. With the use of Artisan 810 software CD, you can complete the installation procedure.
