Unpacking

  • Open the printer package.
  • Remove all the protective materials.
  • Raise the scanner and detach the transportation lock.
  • Fix the transportation lock in the horizontal space provided at the top.
  • Bring down the scanner.

Turn On The Printer

  • Connect one end of the power chord that you received with the printer to the power input of the Epson Artisan 800 printer and another end to an electrical socket.
  • Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Enable Settings

  • Select language and country using the input buttons provided in the control panel.
  • DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME SETTING - To save power, you can always use this setting. Select SUMMER to use this setting and select WINTER to turn off this setting.
  • Select your comfortable date format.
  • Enter the date by using the numerical keypad.
  • Select the time format and enter the time using the keypad.
  • Press OK if all the Epson Artisan 800 setup are made.

Installing Ink Cartridges

  • Lift the scanner.
  • Remove the ink cartridges from the pack.
  • Detach only the yellow tape from the cartridges.
  • Place the cartridges in the holder for each color. Fix the cartridges until they are fitted in.
  • Bring down the scanner.
  • Wait until the ink is charged completely; the charging takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Loading Of Paper

  • The printer has a main tray and a photo tray.
  • Draw out the paper cassette; slide the photo tray and raise it.
  • Flip the edge guides and insert the paper by keeping the glossy surface facing down.
  • Push the edge guides against the paper.
  • Bring down the photo tray.
  • Flip the edge guides and insert the 4*6 inches and 5*7 inches photo paper by keeping the glossy surface facing down.
  • Push the edge guides against the photo paper.
  • Make sure that the cassette is kept flat when you place the paper.
  • Insert the cassette into the printer.
  • Pull out the output tray and flip the stopper.

Connecting Phone Cord

To perform the fax function, connect one side of the phone cord to a telephonic wall jack and another side to the Line port on the Epson Artisan 800 printer.

Choosing Connection

Once you complete the hardware setup of your Epson Artisan 800 printer, proceed with the software installation. While installing the printer software, you will have to choose the connection type for the printer

Epson Artisan 800 Wireless Setup

  • Install the device driver software and establish the connection through the router.
  • Connect your printer to your router using an Ethernet cable. Make this connection temporarily even if you wish to establish a wireless connection.
  • Next, install the printer software on your computer.
  • Once the printer is connected to the router over Wi-Fi, you can remove the connected Ethernet cable.

For USB Connection

Windows Os

  • Do not connect the USB cable directly to your computer.
  • Insert the Epson Artisan 800 Setup CD into the CD drive.
  • The User Account Control screen appears. Click on Continue so that the installation can begin.
  • Install the software using the instructions displayed on the screen.
  • Click Install driver for a direct USB connection and select Next.
  • When instigated, connect the USB cable between the computer and the printer.
  • Follow the remaining instructions displayed on the screen to complete the installation. Now the Epson printer Setup is completed successfully.

Macintosh Os

  • Do not connect the USB cable directly to your computer.
  • Insert the Epson Artisan 800 Setup CD into the CD drive.
  • The setup icon appears on the desktop. Double click the icon.
  • You can also download the printer driver from the official Epson support page and begin the installation.
  • Install the software using the instructions displayed on the screen.
  • Click Install driver for a direct USB connection and select Next.
  • When instigated, connect the USB cable between the computer and the printer.
  • Click Add printer and proceed with the onscreen instructions to finish and register the installation software.
