HARDWARE SETUP

UNBOXING & PAPER LOADING 

  • Unbox the Dell printer from the carton.
  • Place the printer close to the computer. This is essential for an easy USB connection.
  • Remove the protective tapes from the printer body and discard them.
  • At the back of the printer, move the paper guides in the paper input tray.

  • Place a stack of paper into the slot.
  • Move the paper guides along the edges of the paper.
  • Pull the paper support tray from the front of the printer.

  • Connect the power cord to the Dell printer and to the main power source; turn on the printer.

INK CARTRIDGE INSTALLATION

  • Open the front cover of the Dell 720 printer.
  • Press and lift the ink cartridge lids.

  • Unpack the ink cartridges from the sealed packaging.

  • Remove the protective tape from the cartridges.
  • Place the cartridges into the respective color slots. Press the ink cartridge lid until it snaps into place.

SOFTWARE SETUP

Once the hardware setup for the printer is complete, conclude the procedure with the software setup.

Driver Download

DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER

  • Open the default browser on your computer.
  • Click the address bar and type the URL for the Dell 720 printer support page.
  • Once the page opens, click the Drivers & Downloads tab.
  • Scroll down the page and select your operating system from the Operating system drop-down list.
  • Once the page refreshes, scroll down and click the Download button for the printer driver.
  • The driver will be downloaded to your computer.
