Unpack

  • Unpack the product box and take out the printer and its components.
  • Your package includes the Dell E525w printer, power cord, telephone cord, USB cable, installation disk, and a setup guide.
  • Make sure that you have received all the items without any damage.
  • Remove all the protective coverings and packing tapes from the printer and its components.

Load paper

  • Extend the paper tray and remove it entirely from the printer.
  • Open the dust cover and slide the paper width and length guides towards the edges.
  • Next, take a stack of paper; flex and fan the sheets neatly.
  • Load the paper into the paper tray in a portrait orientation with the print side facing up and adjust the paper guides against the paper.
  • Finally, close the dust cover and insert the paper tray into the printer.

Connect the cables

  • If you prefer to go ahead with the USB connection, take out the USB cable and connect it to your printer and a computer.
  • If you are going for an Ethernet connection, connect the Ethernet cable to the printer and an Ethernet port.
  • If you like to use the printer for fax function, take out the telephone cord given along with your printer and connect it between the rear of the printer and a LINE port.

Turn on your printer

  • Take out the power cord you received along with your printer and connect it to the rear of the printer and an electrical socket.
  • Now, turn on the printer by pressing the Power button.

Configure your printer

  • When the initial setup wizard appears on the screen, configure the printer according to your preference.
  • Choose your language, country, time zone, date, and time.

Software installation
