Why My Chromebook Printing Blank Pages?

Is your Chromebook printing blank pages? There are several factors that may cause the blank pages printing problem. In general, you can only print from a Chromebook to a cloud-enabled printer. If you are using an HP printer, make sure you have properly set up the ePrint account. Some more factors can cause trouble when printing from a Chromebook.

Steps To Troubleshoot

  • On your printer, print a self-test report to check if everything is OK. Press and hold down the Power and Cancel buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds. Now, the self-test report sheet will be printed by your HP printer.
  • Visually check your ink tanks (if available) to determine the ink level. Otherwise, print a nozzle check sheet to check the ink status and its quality.
  • If your printer’s ink level is low, refill or replace the ink cartridges.
  • Run a print head cleaning process to improve print quality.
  • Verify and ensure that your Chromebook and the printer are connected correctly to the same wireless network.
  • If you find problems with the wireless connection, restart your Wi-Fi router and reconfigure the wireless settings on your printer.
  • Ensure that you have loaded the printer-supported paper into the paper input tray.
  • If necessary, turn off the printer by pressing the Power button and turn it on after a few seconds.
  • On your Chromebook, open the web page you wish to print and click the Customize and control tab at the top-right corner.
  • Select Print from the drop-down list to open the Print dialog box.
  • Select your printer’s name as the print destination and choose the Black and white option instead of printing color.
  • After verifying the print settings, click the Print button to check if the Chromebook printing blank pages issue has been resolved or not.
